THE SERPENT'S TALE

28 September 2019

This September, take to the streets to hear the unexpected tales of the much-loved Water Gardens, Hemel's modernist architectural gem recently restored for all to enjoy. Journeying through the ‘new town’ vision of post-war Britain and its transformation of the landscape right here in Hemel, this tale digs deep under the flower beds to uncover the history planted beneath our feet.

Join storyteller Eleanor Buchan as she channels the spirit of the wild and wonky May Queen on an interactive journey that traverses garden and pavement, leading you into the myth and marvel that is right under our nose. Expect music, magic - and perhaps a little mayhem.

Free of charge and open to all.

Performance times:
